Sewing Machine - The friendship that can last a life time!

Most sewing machines last for many years when cared for. Small problems can be taken care of by simple adjustments. The repairs can be carried out at home and the heavy cost of service can be saved.

Always clean your machine using brush after sewing , it increases the lifetime of your machine.

If the machine develops some problem,

  1. Ensure that the cables are properly and securely plugged at both machine and at outlet.
  2. All connections are to be made tight to avoid possible loose contacts.
  3. Check whether the foot pedals are plugged to the machine properly.
  4. If the thread breaks pull it out and retread it.
  5. The needle must be inserted and clamped tightly, otherwise there may be a possible slip down while sewing.
  6. The needle size must be in match with the cloth, that is thick cloth -thick needle, thin cloth - thin needle.
  7. Don't use blunt needles.
  8. If the thread breaks from the upper portion there is possible high tension, adjust the tension dial to optimum level of tension.
  9. If the lower portion of the thread breaks, adjust the bobbin shuttle.
